About

Anthony (Tony) Sortino received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Houston in 1972. He received a Doctor of Jurisprudence with Honors from the University of Texas School of Law in 1975, where he was a member of the honorary law fraternity, Phi Delta Phi.

After two years as an associate with the firm of Price & DeLaGarza in San Antonio, Mr. Sortino returned to his home town of Houston to form the firm of Neel, Smallwood & Sortino where he primarily practiced in the areas of commercial litigation and real estate. From December of 1983 until June of 1999, he was a sole practitioner in Tomball, Texas. After 15 years as a partner in the Tomball firm of Clifton Dodson Sortino, L.L.P., Mr. Preston Dodson retired and the firm was dissolved. Mr. Sortino has continued as a sole practitioner in the same location, with the practice being generally confined to real estate, wills, probate and business matters.

He has represented commercial and residential real estate developers as well as individual buyers and sellers of real property in all aspects of acquisition, financing, workouts and foreclosures. He handles Probate matters in both Harris and Montgomery Counties. He has also enjoys assisting clients in the formation, acquisition, merger and sale of all types of business entities. In addition to his professional activities, Mr. Sortino has been very active in the community through participation in the Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce and the Tomball Rotary Club, where he has been privileged to serve in such capacities as Club President and Chairman of the District 5890 Youth Exchange Committee. He has been happily married to his beautiful wife, Jodye, since 1975 and they have one daughter, Jacque. In his leisure time, Mr. Sortino is an avid glider pilot and a computer enthusiast.
